Endeavour – NENP Grant Work

Endeavour was awarded the NENP grant which aims to encourage children to learn in a nature-based and came to use to ensure they made the most of the grant. Endeavour has unused empty planters in a fenced off area and came to us to transform it into pond and bug hotel. We created a bespoke pond with aquatic plants and storage/potting table and added a wooden grate on top to ensure a safe environment for the children. Next we built playful butterfly houses and bug hotels for the children to explore and added two tier planters with seating around the boundary edge and an archway entrance. We used a pergola style seating and created a compost store to help disguise the perimeter fence and create an aesthetic environment. We also repurposed two of the existing planters.
