Before the work we completed at Ravenshall this outdoor space was unusable as the greenery was overgrown, the pathway was unsafe, the old pond was not fenced off and the benches and fenced platform were rotten. We undertook this project in order to reopen this area for wheelchair access and students to enjoy the space. We achieved this via new pathways, safety features and multiple outdoor attractions and equipment for the pupils to use and benefit from. We put in a stobipath which is a mixture of washed stone and recycled rubber which is anti- slip to ensure student safety and helped open this space which gave them access to the wheelchair height pond, benches, shelter and interactive play equipment.
